Firefox 3.5 – Fastest Browser ever?

June 10th, 2009 · No Comments · General News, Open Source, Web 2.0

I installed Firefox 3.5 pre-release beta today and have been pleasantly surprised so far.

The speed of the browser is a very popular feature expected in this version as various browsers compete to become the fastest browser. I did feel as though the sites were loading faster, but it could be pyschological effect also. I must be able to comment on this aspect in a day or two.

As soon as I opened the browser, I did notice the plus button (+) which reduces one click, when you want to open a new tab. It appears the team has thought through and taken care of such minor issues.

At this point, hats off to the Firefox development team for their successful completion of this version.
